As the band evolved, it became more apparent to our fan-base as we started to become more popular, that we were just a bunch of guys looking weird for the purposes of looking weird - as opposed to a Glam band who was looking for an excuse to play music, we developed into a Heavy Metal band with an excuse to dress up outrageously. What was our motto?..that “we dressed like women, talked like men, and played like motherfuckers”. The night that Klaus Nomi played with us, I walked by the dressing room and went, what the hell...who is that?! And somebody said oh that’s this guy Klaus Nomi, he’s a German performance artist and I went: Oh Man...!
